Flexchrom
The Flexchrom process
Plastic emblems, symbols and lettering are versatile and many different types of plastic are available especially for your individual requirements. LES GRAVEURS manufactures such emblems, which are subsequently given a visually appealing, three-dimensional surface design using the flex chrome process. Chrome foils are used for this purpose. In a first step, the foil, which is the basis, is screen printed and deformed. After deformation, the foil is sealed. Finally, the foils are formed into the desired shape. Different looks can be created by changing the color of the surface. Due to different build-up heights of the foils, the emblems can be produced in different heights and with a 3D effect. Sharp contours and multi-level thicknesses are also possible.

Advantages of the Flexchrom process
Emblems and logos made with this technology have several advantages, especially compared to emblems made by injection molding. An important advantage is the low cost of production. Tooling costs are very low, as there is no need to use injection molds, which is an important point in the overall cost of the technology. Thus, this foil technology also allows emblems and badges to be produced in small or medium quantities with low mold costs.

Thus, no additional processes are required for the product and further costs can be avoided. In addition, the foil emblems are environmentally friendly.
But this process also offers many advantages in terms of design. With foil technology, customers have no restrictions on geometric shapes. They are flexible and easy to apply, both on flat and curved surfaces. Moreover, different finishes and colors are very easy and quick to obtain, as there are many finishing solutions that can be applied later.
