Screen printing
Surface finishing via screen printing
By means of the traditional screen printing process, numerous materials can be individually printed, ranging from plastics to natural materials and precious metals. Screen printing can also easily process specially shaped objects without a flat surface. As with other classic mechanical printing processes, the inks used in screen printing can be changed depending on the raw material to be printed, resulting in printed images of the highest precision, quality and durability, which are also protected against external influences such as sunlight.
The screen printing process consists of two steps: First, a stencil corresponding to the preferred motif is applied to the substrate and the ink is spread over the stencil with a rubber squeegee - the stencil prevents the ink from being applied to the areas of the fabric it covers. The squeegeed fabric is then pressed onto the surface to be printed and the desired print image is created.
A particular advantage here is that screen printing allows gradations in the color intensity of the motif. The higher the contrast of the printed image, the more frequently the printing process is repeated on the base material.
Service for industry and trade
Although screen printing can look back on a long history of development, which is fed by early medieval European influences as well as Japanese printing techniques of the 18th century, this popular printing technique is more modern than ever, despite its already very long application, due to the latest technical developments. At the same time, as the most tried-and-tested printing technique on the market, it can continue to convince and surprise with the diversity of its color and design possibilities.
Screen printing is particularly popular in the industrial sector and in the production of advertising materials, not least because of the sheer endless possibilities for its use in relation to the variety of substrates. Here, it is valued above all for its color brilliance, which also enables multicolor prints without blurring of the colors.
Individual service
As the gold standard among printing techniques, screen printing opens up the possibility of printing on almost all materials and thus also on all conceivable components, advertising materials and textiles, whereby there are no limits to your design planning due to the variety of possible colors and substrates.
