By using lasers, very precise engravings can be made, which is why this process is used especially when very filigree structures and engravings are to be created. Laser engraving and laser marking can be further subdivided into sub-processes, such as deep engraving or micro engraving. Thus, depending on the desired end result, it is possible to select which of the processes is best suited for this purpose.

 

Laser texturing for surfaces

In the field of texturing, there are many different processes for changing the surfaces of metals into three-dimensional surface structures. Laser texturing is a modern surface processing method that offers a number of new possibilities and advantages in the area of surface graining and structuring. Laser texturing represents a completely digitized process chain. This makes it very economical and ecological in the field of texturing. In addition, the digitizations allow the processing of the materials to be better adapted to your specifications, so that your ideas can be optimally implemented.

 

Use of femtolaser

The use of femtolasers represents a new form of laser processing. It can also be used for laser engraving and texturing, which is also characterized by its particularly high precision. With a femtolaser, the material removed is converted directly into plasma, which hardly interacts thermally with the substrate material. Thus, an exact and residue-free ablation of smallest material quantities is achieved. The burr-free engraving minimizes the need for post-processing and saves working time and costs. The use of femtosecond lasers also opens up new possibilities in terms of color effects and matting.
